Bluffs Man Charged In Wife's Murder

According to an affadavit, Cox shot his wife Millisa in the back with a .38 caliber handgun during an argument at their home on October 15.  He then turned the gun on himself and suffered a wound to his chin.

Millisa Cox was found in the front yard and later died at Mercy Hospital. Darwin Cox barricaded himself inside his house for nearly two hours before he was apprehended.

According to the affidavit, after Cox shot his wife he called several people to tell  them he had shot Millisa and then himself.

The couple's 18-year-old son, who was home at the time of the shooting, told police that his parents had been arguing in the days prior to the shooting and that some of the arguments turned physical.
