Bond Denied For Garcia

Bond Denied For Garcia

Anthony Garcia is accused of murdering four people with ties to Creighton University. He is charged with eight felonies and on Tuesday morning Garcia was ordered held without bond.  His preliminary hearing is set for August 14

Garcia was arrested in Illinois last week and extradited back to Omaha. He has been charged in the killings of Creighton University pathologist Roger Brumback and his wife Mary back in May.

Garcia is also accused in the fatal stabbing  11-year-old Thomas Hunter and his family's housekeeper, Shirlee Sherman, in March 2008

Brumback and Thomas Hunter's father fired Garcia from a Creighton residency program in 2001.   Garcia's attorney Allison Motta says she's pleased the judge granted their motion to gain more access to her client.

She says the matter in which they have met with Garcia is inconsistent with attorney-client privilege.  "We're separated by glass, there's a large echo, there's no table, we had no way to pass documents to him," Mott says.
