Power Restored To 5-Thousand OPPD Customers

Omaha Public Power District officials say more than five thousand customers were affected when power went out on four circuits just after 1:03 Monday afternoon.

Spokesperson Jodi Baker says a crew was doing maintenance at a substation. The load had been switched to another transformer, but that transformer tripped.

Most customers were back by 1:40.  The final 2,000 came back on less than an hour later.
