Two New "Kits" At Zoo

Two New

There are new babies to spot at the Henry Doorly Zoo.

The zoo reports to beaver babies called kits were born on July 27th.  They spend most of their time in the beaver lodge in the swamp area of Kingdoms of the Night but they are starting to swim out to explore.  The kits join the beaver colony at the Zoo that consists of two females and two males.

Beaver kits are born fully furred and their eyes open within an hour after birth.  The Zoo reports the babies have already been seen trying to corn and sweet potato.   The sex of the siblings is not known as zookeepers are taking hands off approach.
