Chris Baker's Dingman's Experience

Chris Baker's car took a pounding during the April 2013 hailstorm and now its in the hands of the professionals at Dingman's. Follow the process as it unfolds!

  •
The hail came in and just pounded my car. I stood on a patio watching knowing there was nothing I could do. My first instinct was to "move it" but; where the heck would I go? It would be like trying to run from an earthquake. Just look at that hood; it looks like the moon.
  •
The trunk too. I went on line and began researching "repairing hail damage" and started reading all these goofey ideas like "dry ice" or "using a hair dryer" or "parking in the sun." All that was missing was a witch doctor shaking a decapitated chicken over my car to "spiritually" remove the dents.
  •
I can break down intelligence reports, tax policies, crime statistics, political campaigns, history and pop culture but; when it comes to cars...I'm toast.
  •
Pow! Bang! Crash! Man was this ugly.
  •
I went to the pro's at Dingmans. Boyd Dingman trust KFAB to deliver his message and I knew that any guy smart enough to do that pays attention to detail. That's what you want for your car. Attention to detail, do the job right the first time and you'll have a happy customer.
  •
It was obvious just how experienced and how detailed they are at Dingmans. It didn't take long for Boyd to point out some big problems I was facing with my car.
  •
    The lunar surface trunk.
  •
Being a "non mechanical type" Boyd Dingman pointed out so many details that I never would have seen, which makes me an easy target for some dirtbag fake collision repair crooks.
  •
You don't call an accoutant to fix your broken arm and you don't call your doctor to do your taxes. Always go to the professionals.
  •
Boyd immediatly spotted inferior bumper work I had done in Texas. The paint didn't match, it was done in a rush and l wa so glad Dingmans took the time to check my car front to back and top to bottom..
  •
Just looking at the damage I can hear little "riccochet sounds" in my head. "Ping, Ping, Boing" dents everywhere.
  •
Each one of these dents were pushed back into place. The craftsmen at Dingmans slowly and carefully used special tools, to work their way behind the linings and insulation under the hood, the doors, the roof and fenders. Other repair shops will drill holes, rip out the lining and other stuff which damages your car.
  •
After getting out the 3 billion dents, scratches, and other hail damage; it was carefully prepared for paint.
  •
They fixed the dents, sanded down the body using very fine sandpaper.
  •
    Ready for paint!
  •
Look! No dents, no damage to be seen anywhere!
  •
Dingmans does not skip details and they don't cut corners; see the new trunk?

Clean! Dingmans replaced my hood as well as the trunk. Another great thing is that they work with your insurance company and are able to cut through the "can't you get an old hood" thing. Do it right the first time, that's how they roll.
